Switzerland & London

Châtel, Switzerland
From April to June of 2007 I lived in Châtel, Switzerland where I took part in a 6-month-counseling- program.
The program 'Introduction to Biblical Counseling' consists of two parts:
- 3 months lecture phase here in Ch
âtel, followed by
- 3 months outreach, where we will get opportunities to practice our newly learned skills in a supervised environment. I ended up doing my outreach a little over a year later in London.

London, England
In the summer of 2008 I spent three months as an intern with the Earl's Court Community Project in London, England. This internship was the second part of the counseling school I did in Switzerland three years ago.
Here is some information about the 'ECCP': ... aims to reach out and support people who are struggling with their lives in some way. This could be an ongoing need or a one-off crisis. Many of our visitors are those on the edges of society, including those caught up in drug or alcohol addictions, people without homes, or those suffering from mental illness.

Initially established in 1985, Earls Court Community Project aims to demonstrate God's love in a compassionate and practical way. Over the years the work has enjoyed the continued help and support of churches and organizations and since its beginnings people from various churches and overseas have joined the initiative.
