Altensteig, Germany
From October 2007 til March 2008 I staffed a DTS in Altensteig, Black Forest. We were a small DTS - 5 students and 4 staff, 4 Germans, 2 Filipinas, 2 Nigerians, 1 Swiss and 1 American.
As staff my first responsibility was of course to the students - to be there for them, pray for them, disciple them. My other main responsibilities were the kitchen - meaning organizing the meals and cooking lunch (our warm meal) on most days and translation - of lectures, but also at times during extra-curricular activities.
The first three months (Oct-Dec) of this DTS were spent in Altensteig, followed by three months (Jan-Mar) on outreach in India & Sri Lanka.
