In Skien, Norway I did a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). The DTS was divided into 14 weeks of teaching on topics such as the Fatherheart of God, Relationships, Evangelism, Word of God, the Holy Spirit, Prayer&Intercession, Missions,... 10 weeks of “mini“-outreaches in Norway with visits in schools, nursery homes, prisons, pre-schools, youth meetings, church services,... and 8 weeks of outreach abroad to Ethiopia, Chile, Suriname, India and Thailand.
I was in Thailand together with 7 Norwegians, where we spent most of the time working in rural areas with the Karen people, a hill-tribe-refugee-group from Myanmar (Burma). It was an amazing time, where God did so much!
Looking back it was an incredible experience that I wouldn't want to miss. It was a time-out for me. My “sanctuary“. Just my God and I. I experienced a lot of inner healing during that time and my hunger for God became even more insatiable.
After a 2-month sommerbreak I went back to Skien as staff for 8 months. My responsibilities were kitchen, housekeeping and hospitality.
