hello everyone...
sorry i haven't been writing anything of late... its just that its been kind of difficult to go online here... india is not as flooded with cyber cafes as thailand is. ;-)
and by now we've been in india for three weeks. first 2 weeks in delhi where we went to a slum every night... some slums we visited twice. it was really shocking to see how these people live. most of time you could hardly call it living... i mean they didn't even have bathrooms... they just made their 'business' wherever it pleased them!
Besides it was very dirty, dusty and cold. Still you couldn't help loving these people... the way they were dealing with their circumsdances... you know no matter how poor they were they still shared the little they had with us.
Mumbai is quite different. It's cleaner, not as dusty and especially warmer. So far we haven't had any real ministry yet for we were blessed to be able to attend a Joyce Meyer Conference with Hillsong and delirious? taking care of the worship! It was truly awesome!
Today is our day off besides we have a birthday in our team - Nik is turning 19!
Tomorrow we'll have a city tour which will be a prayer/intercession tour at the same time.
On wednesday we will meet another team and at the same time get some orientation for our work among the "neighbours" our code word for the muslims. thursday will be more prayer and intercession - this time directly in the muslim areas. Friday we'll be going to the Mother Theresa Home here in Mumbai to do some mercy ministry there. Saturday we'll be visiting the Red light district and on Sunday we'll be taking part in a church service. so far our ministry for this week.
please, continue to pray for my finances. as of now i am completely broke again. i can only hope that there has been some money coming into my ywam account - i just sent an email to the base to find that out. gosh, i really need a breakthrough in this! And soon!
