something's happening...

1) during the past couple of weeks the Holy Spirit has been repeatedly leading my into the most amazing and awesome times before the throne of God. Times of prayer and intercession, times of praise and worship... Times where everything is being focused on HIM. It's difficult to put into words what I'm experiencing during those times. Many times it's about Walking Street. Other times God is dealing with things in my life and sometimes it happens that all I do is to lie on the floor - totally overwhelmed by His Greatness, Grace, Love,...

2) we have now formed an intercession team that is going into Walking Street on friday nights. Our vision is to begin creating a difference in the spiritual atmosphere over that place. We sing songs and pray a lot. On one hand it is very hard, because it really is a spiritual battle and can actually feel how the further you advance into the Street the heavier the spiritual atmosphere gets. On the other hand it is sooo good to finally get something started down there.

Please, whoever can and wants to - we need as many 'comrades-in-prayer' as possible... for as it is written in Ephesians (6:12): For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Known by name

I never realised how much it actually means to be "known by name". At home it's just so natural... not down here, in a foreign country, with a foreign language, foreign people, foreign everything.
On my day off (Saturday) I usually go to my favorite Starbucks shop here in Pattaya. It's placed on the top floor of a mall right at the Beach and they have this little outdoor terrace place with a magnificent view of the bay, the beach, palm trees. It's simply beautiful and since it's a little out of the way compared to the other Starbucks shops which are on street level, it's usually not too full and I can enjoy a quiet afternoon with a good book...
and by now the entire crew knows me by name! First it was only the supervisor, then 1 or 2 of the other barristas, but by now it's really all of them.
It just adds such a "homie" feeling to it, like belonging somewhere. They smile and wave at me everytime one of them passes my table, sometimes even stop for a little chat. It's hard to explain.
But here is what's even more astounding:
God, the creator of this very universe, knows YOU and I mean every single one of you, by name!
With this encouraging fact I wanna wish you all a blessed weekend
and revel in thought of HIM KNOWING YOUR NAME!!!

almost our entire team is experiencing attacks in their health at the moment.
I myself have been having stomach issues for the past 3-4 weeks.
Please pray for healing and for the Holy Spirit to reveal the real source and reasons of these attacks so that we will be able to take the appropriate steps.

How great is our God?!

Just a quick update on the most important news: I CAN STAY!!!

God is so unbelievable good. Once again He has proven that He IS great and in control!
A month ago I was lacking about $450,- in my monthly budget - today I lack $0,-! God has been faithful to very last nickel.
To be honest I can still hardly believe it.
The main thing is the money I'm saving on the language studies. Plus I got 8 new supporters and my church is sending a donation as well.

I feel very much like dancing. :o)
Or as David put it in Psalm 13:
"I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me."

and in Psalm 145:3 it says:
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no-one can fathom.
